John Boyega – Full Biography
John Boyega (born March 17, 1992) is a British actor best known for portraying Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. His energetic performance, emotional depth, and strong screen presence made Finn one of the central heroes of the new generation of the saga.
Born in Peckham, South London, to Nigerian parents of Yoruba descent, Boyega discovered his passion for acting at a young age. He was spotted by a talent scout during a school play and later trained at the Identity School of Acting in London. He also studied performing arts at South Thames College before fully committing to his acting career.
Boyega first gained major recognition for his breakthrough role in Attack the Block (2011), where he played Moses, a teenage leader defending his neighborhood from an alien invasion. The film was critically acclaimed and showcased his natural talent and charisma.
His global breakthrough came when he was cast as Finn in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). He reprised the role in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (2019), becoming an internationally recognized star.
